This 60 minute presentation, sponsored by cove.tool, will introduced the new Load Modeling features of cove.tool. The newly released functionality enables mechanical engineers to transition from early-stage optimization studies to building load and system sizing analysis without the need to change software. The platform converts all early-stage inputs into an entirely new Load Modeling suite using OpenStudio with EnergyPlus for the detailed calculations. By providing a toolset for the critical system sizing task, while continuously linking back to energy, cost, and carbon emission annual performance, cove.tool is furthering its mission of reducing carbon in the built environment.

Patrick is the Mechanical Engineering Director at cove.tool. Patrick oversees the implementation of automated mechanical engineering design and optimization. Patrick leverages nine years of experience as a consulting engineer to help design teams across the globe meet the unique challenge of mechanical design. Patrick’s extensive project experience enables him to share low energy design knowledge and energy modeling expertise with clients. Patrick holds a Master of Engineering from Boston University and is a registered PE in Massachusetts.
